Pet Photo Contest Fundraiser

Show off your patriotic pets in our 12th Annual Liberty Days Pet Photo Contest Fundraiser! Whether your furry, feathered, or scaly friend is decked out in red, white, and blue, or just showing their American spirit, we want to see it! This contest is a fun way to celebrate our love for pets and country while supporting The Stars and Stripes National Museum and Library.

Special Guest Judge: Barney the Museum Cat 🐱😸
We’re excited to announce that our very own Barney, our beloved Museum cat, will be our very own special guest judge! Barney, known for his patriotic spirit and charming personality, has been a fixture at the Museum for years. While he won’t be eligible to win, Barney will be featured in a special display showcasing his own red, white, and blue outfits throughout the contest period.

How to Enter 
1. Take a photo of your pet showing their patriotic side.
2. Submit your photo through one of these methods:

  – Send via Messenger on our Facebook page

Contest Rules
1. The contest is open to all types of pets – dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and more!
2. Each participant may submit one (1) photo.
3. Photos must be original and taken by the person submitting them.
4. By submitting a photo, you grant The Stars and Stripes National Museum and Library permission to use the image for promotional purposes.
5. Photos should be family-friendly and appropriate for all ages.
6. Include your name, your pet’s name, and a brief description with your submission.
7. Submissions will be accepted from Now to Monday, September 16, 2024.

Voting and Donations
1. Voting is done through monetary donations by visiting the Museum or on our secure website.
2. To vote online, visit [Secure Donation Link Coming Soon].
3. Each dollar donated counts as one vote for your favorite pet photo.
4. You can vote for multiple pets by specifying the amount for each in your donation.
5. All donations go directly to supporting The Stars and Stripes National Museum and Library.
6. Voting will be open from Tuesday, September 17 to Saturday, October 5.
7. The pet photo that raises the most money at the end of the voting period wins!

– Barney’s Choice Award: A special prize chosen by our feline judge for the most “purrfectly” patriotic photo!

Winners will be announced at the 12th Annual Liberty Days on Saturday, October 5, 2024 following the USO-Style Variety Show (around 3pm). They will also be posted on our website and social media pages.
