The 12th Annual Liberty Days:
A Living History Timeline Adventure

Join us for the 12th Annual Liberty Days: A Living History Timeline Adventure on Friday, October 4, and Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 9AM to 4PM each day at The Stars and Stripes National Museum and Library. This event is open to the public and admission is free.

This living history timeline spans from the Revolutionary War to the present day, offering a unique and engaging experience for all ages. The Poplar Bluff Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Crowley’s Ridge Blackpowder Club, the Turner Brigade, and the 10th Armored Division are setting up encampments with reenactors and giving demonstrations.

Some of the 20 plus demonstrations will include quill writing, soap making, candle making, atlatl throwing, tomahawk throwing, a candy cannon, blacksmithing, hide tanning, weapons and uniform displays, mock battles, and more.

There will also be food trucks, craft vendors, a dessert silent auction, and a pet photo contest. So, come on out and eat some great food, enjoy live music, and absorb history in a new and exciting way!

Event Highlights

Live Entertainment: Enjoy a variety of live entertainment including music, performances, and demonstrations that capture the spirit of different eras.

USO Variety Show: Be entertained by a nostalgic USO variety show featuring acts that pay tribute to the entertainment provided to troops during wartime.
