Class Registration for Liberty Days:
A Living History Timeline Adventure

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2023
8AM to 4PM | BLOOMFIELD, MISSOURI

Welcome Teachers

Your 5th through 8th-grade students are invited to attend the 11th Annual Liberty Days: A Living History Timeline Adventure. This event will take place on Friday, October 6, 2023 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Stars and Stripes National Museum and Library in Bloomfield, Missouri.

This event is a unique opportunity for your students to experience history hands-on. They will have the chance to walk from camp to camp and experience life during the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, WWI & II, and up to the modern era. Each encampment is staffed with individuals that are enthusiastic about their own special time and place, and they have gone to great lengths to ensure that their persona, clothing, gear, and equipment are as accurate as possible.

Your students will have the chance to participate in over 20 demonstrations, including quill writing, soap making, candle making, atlatl throwing, and tomahawk throwing. There will be a candy cannon, blacksmithing, hide tanning, weapons, uniform displays, mock battles, and more. They will also have the opportunity to visit a WWII barracks complete with a nurse’s station, clerk’s station, and mess kitchen. Your students will have the chance to absorb history in a new and exciting way.

In addition to the historical demonstrations, we are excited to offer a Liberty Days passport to each student who attends. The passport includes a map of the event and information about each encampment. Students can get their passports stamped at each activity they participate in. The first 250 students who get all their passports stamped will receive a free Liberty Days t-shirt!

We encourage you to bring your students. Admission to this event is free. We hope to see you there!
